Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish

Religious Education

2020-2021

Our Religious Education Program will be held remotely for this school year. Students in Grades 1-8 may register. We will have monthly group meetings, by video conference, for as long as we face restrictions from the COVID-19 virus. These will be scheduled by the end of September. There will be weekly assignments for students.

First Communion class will be an additional study group, so we can accommodate candidates in all grades.

Dates for First Reconciliation and First Communion will be set as soon as possible.

Confirmation is now a two-year program. There will be Confirmation in 2022.

If you were not enrolled in our Religious Education program last year, please forward a copy of your child's Baptism certificate, and if your child has received the Sacraments, the certificates for First Penance and First Communion.

Our Faith Formation program reflects an integrated learning experience comprised of catechetical instruction in: prayer, biblical studies, liturgy, sacramental preparation, service, and the understanding and development of Catholic moral values. Recalling from the Catechism of the Catholic Church:  "Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children in the faith, prayer, and all virtues.  Therefore, our Faith Formation program exists to assist parents in their responsibility of forming their children in the Catholic faith into which they have been baptized

Thank you for making the decision to partner with us here at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish to further your child's Faith Formation.
